The true history of Acqua resides in these archives deep in the Rakert Rift. The records in this archive are quite a bit different than those in the tourist fueled Acqua City.
The Unabridged History of Acqua
Unknown to most non-Acqualish, Acqua was not always a water world. Anomalies exist deep under the vast oceans that cover the planet. These anomalies prove that Acqua was once a desert world, free of water of any kind. The Acqualish have accepted this fact, however they have no knowledge of how or why such a sudden shift occured.
More insight into this mysterious past can be seen in the structure of the Acqualish body itself. Acqualish possess many bones and organs dedicated to living on land. The skin of an Acqualish is also abnormally rough, for a species that resides almost exclusively in water anyway.
The mysteries of the planet and the race of Acqualish are numerous. An Acqualish excavation team has recently discovered ruins of an ancient civilization on the planet that was covered over by water. All of the writing was far too deteriorated to decipher however.
In more recent years the Acqualish have integrated themselves into modern society. Acqua City is a little show the Acqualish put on for ignorant tourists who gobble up anything without looking for validity. In truth the Acqualish have only recently left their planet, and their little above water city was only built a short ten years ago. Acqua is the newcomer to Cepheid, and therefore have very little say in galactic happenings.
