Noxious fumes surround the lake. The lake itself is little more than acid, very little water exists in the lake. How the acid got there is unknown but the area around the lake is all dead for a one mile radius.
The area underneath the lake is rather interesting however. It leads to a second way into the old catacombs to an area not accessible from the other entrances. This area is specially unique in that it leads to the entrance to the ancient city of the elves lost for thousands of years. However only the king of Teledrasin knows the ritual for breaking the seal to the city.
The only way to travel under the acid is with an extremely powerful environment suit, one powerful enough to withstand acid. Once a suitable suit is found one should talk with the Teledrasin king.
