History: First the info behind the name: Koro Yokoi is Koro's REAL name, his demonic name. Koro is, however, almost always in a human form. Why will be explained later. His human name, and the name he will be using most, is Nicholas Rivera. The name his human mother gave him on Earth.
History-Koro Yokoi was, for a time, one of the most powerful demons Dremora had ever seen. Koro was as fast as lightning and a masterful swordsman. Koro hardly ever trained his strength or his endurance to physical pain allowing ample time and energy to go into making himself one of the fastest and most skilled demons in Dremora. But before one goes into Koro became, one must visit where he started, in the sprawling city known as Daemon.
Koro was born more than 20,000 years before the rise of Alpha in Icer. His parents were demons of the highest class and loyal generals in Belias's demonic army. They were both powerful warriors. His father could pump his muscles up to proportions that couldn't even be imagined and his mother could engulf the entire city in powerful waves of demonic energy. It was no surprise that Koro would begin to show insurmountable power. By the time he was eight, his command over energy had begun to creep dangerously close to his mother's. Koro was fast, nimble, agile and could devastate any opposition with the incredible force of his energy. A simple wave of his hand and his opponents find themselves flying backwards at the might of his energy.
As Koro grew older, he began to disagree with his father's methods of fighting. To Koro, his father seemed brutish and incapable of anything other than flexing his muscles. His hatred of his father grew even higher when his father forced him into joining Belias's army from which there is no returning.
A year after being conscripted into the army, Koro learned that his mother, whom he cared for deeply, had been slaughtered in battle. Her, her husband and a party of eight other demons were sent on a mission to Asgard during the third Dremora Asgard war. Koro blamed his father for her death. He spent so much time increasing his muscle mass that he could not save his dear wife. Koro challenged his father to a battle in the Sacred Domain Arena. Koro's father was decimated by Koro and his newly developed techniques.
Upon the battle's conclusion, Koro was moved up to General in the army and his father's name was disgraced, as happens to all who lose in the arena. Koro began rapidly inventing new techniques that fit his fighting style. Koro picked up a sword and began to quickly master its secrets. He became the most accomplished fighter in Dremora. He became faster, and all the while exponentially increased his energy until it far surpassed his mother's. It seemed like nothing could stop the demon from becoming the most powerful demon that ever lived. However, something did happen.
Koro learned that his mother had been deemed a deserter by Belias himself. Apparently, Koro's mother had abandoned one of the missions she was on because staying seemed futile and suicidal. Belias ordered his strongest demons, minus Koro, to kill Koro's mother. She died in the Netherelm, far from any possible intervention.
Koro became overwhealmed with animosity for Belias. Going against all of his better judgment, Koro rampaged through Belias's castle, not unlike the way his father would. Koro challenged Belias to a battle in the sacred arena, something that had not been done for a million years. The victor, would become the new ruler of Dremora.
Koro had become one of the strongest demons in existence, but he could not match the power of Belias. Koro was humbled. Belias beat him to the brink of death. Belias was about to throw the final blow when....a mysterious man began to talk to Koro telepathically. Koro....You are needed elsewhere..... Those were the only words the man told Koro before he was teleported far from the Arena. Far from Dremora in fact. For the first time in his life, Koro was in the mortal plane.
Koro staggered along for days which turned it into weeks which turned into months which turned into years. Koro's wounds were deep. It was three decades before his wounds had completely healed, but Koro would never be the same again. His right arm was completely gone. His left hand had been torn off by Belias. Pieces of his legs had been chipped away. His energy had been crippled permanently. Belias placed a permanent constraint on his energy making it impossible for him to conjure up barely any energy at all. He was now weak. Koro gave up the hope of ever being able to fight in his current body. He spent thousands of years secluded in a cave on Earth, only coming out once every so often to feast. He earned a name for himself, many calling him the, "Chupacabra".
When Koro had amassed enough energy for what he needed to do he crept out from his cave and headed North where he possessed the unborn fetus of a male child. The mother was a teenager who was left by her boy friend after he learned that she was pregnant. Koro was reborn and given the name, "Nicholas Rivera". Koro began to love his human mother who cherished him deeply. His new body was a human one but at least now he could wield some energy and actually have all of his limbs intact.
Koro went to school, as any normal human child would. Koro went to college where he became an engineer. Unknown to his mother, he trained. All through his childhood and into his teens he taught his new body. As of this point, he has barely a fraction of the absolute power that he once wielded, but his power is steadily coming back. He can already unleash some of his old techniques he had once perfected albeit considerably weaker versions of them.
Oddly though, Koro, or Nick Rivera as he is now referred to, occasionally has weird surges of power when he becomes desperate. He cannot, at this time, control this power but he is trying to learn control. When in desperation, Nick becomes Koro, or at least part of Koro. Hopefully, in time, Koro will learn how to become exactly what he once was and unleash his vengeance on Belias.
