All of the abilities listed here will remain dormant until Royd has actually acquired the telepathic "element".
Name: Surface Scan
Strength: N/A
Effects: The user can determine whether the target is telling the truth or lying. Surface scans are undetectable by anyone not a telepath.
Appearance: With a casual glance the user can determine if his target is telling the truth or not. Any non-telepath can be surface scanned without their knowing it, however a telepath of any strength will notice the scan and can block it as long as they have more energy then the one scanning them. The one performing the scan must also be in direct line of sight with the target with no more then a hundred feet separating them.
Requirements: Line of sight within 100 feet. More energy then the target if scanning a telepath.
Name: Telepathic Block.

Effects: The user can block the scan of another telepath provided they have more energy then the one performing the scan.
Appearance: Externally the block can manifest the strain of executing in anyway ranging from a mild sweat to bleeding from the nose, ears or in extreme cases, the eyes. To the person attempting the scan, the block can appear simply as an empty void, a brick wall or any other imagery the blocker decides to use. The block may even be accompanied by auditory input if the blocker tries to use music or other remembered sounds to head off the scan.
Requirements: The telepath must know they are being scanned and have more energy then the one attempting the scan. Equal energy levels will result in a deadlock for one post and then will shift towards the attacker’s favor.
